McDonald's Shame Mask

Mark Bittman''s Twitter feed alerted me to the McDonald's Shame Mask, a nifty device for eating fast food on the sly.  It does bring up all sorts of issues that I face with my 6 & 7 year old children, and even my own fast food demons.  I am the Vice Chair of Slow Food RVA. I believe in the movement and most everything it stands for. Is there a place for fast food in this paradigm? I don't think so. My kids beg otherwise.  If we frequent any of those places, its more often Subway, or Chick Fil-A. But given the recent news of their feelings towards gay folks, my visits there have become tainted by politcs.
